Gabri­el Moreno ist ein gibral­ta­ri­scher Singer‐Songwriter und Dich­ter. Nach Auf­ent­hal­ten in Süd­ame­ri­ka, Ita­li­en, Nor­we­gen und den USA lebt er der­zeit in Lon­don, Eng­land. Moreno, der auch als Dich­ter tätig ist, wird mit sei­nem medi­ter­ra­nen alter­na­ti­ven Folk mit lyri­schen Song­wri­tern wie Leo­nard Cohen, Bill Cal­la­han und Geor­ges Bras­sens verglichen.

2022 war ein bahn­bre­chen­des Jahr für Gabri­el. In die­sem Jahr erschien sein vier­tes Album “The Year of the Rat”, das lan­des­weit im BBC Radio gespielt wur­de und in der bri­ti­schen Pres­se gute Kri­ti­ken erhielt. Mit sei­ner Band “The Qui­ve­ring Poets” unter­nahm er eine aus­ge­dehn­te Tour­nee durch das Ver­ei­nig­te König­reich, bei der er auf gro­ßen Fes­ti­vals wie Wil­der­ness, The Gre­at Bri­tish Folk Fes­ti­val und Pur­beck Val­ley Folk Fes­ti­val auf­trat. In die­sem Jahr wur­de ihm auch der Titel des Kul­tur­bot­schaf­ters von Gibral­tar verliehen.

Gabri­el Moreno is a Gibral­ta­ri­an sin­ger song­wri­ter and poet. After peri­ods spent living in South Ame­ri­ca, Ita­ly, Nor­way and the USA, he curr­ent­ly resi­des in Lon­don, Eng­land. Also a care­er poet, Moreno’s Medi­ter­ra­ne­an strand of alter­na­ti­ve folk has seen him liken­ed to such lyri­cal song­wri­ters as Leo­nard Cohen, Bill Cal­la­han and Geor­ges Brassens.

2022 has been a brea­kout year for Gabri­el. It saw the release of his 4th album, The Year of the Rat, which recei­ved natio­nal air­play on BBC Radio and strong reviews in the UK press. He tou­red wide­ly across the UK with his band The Qui­ve­ring Poets, inclu­ding per­for­man­ces at major fes­ti­vals such as Wil­der­ness, The Gre­at Bri­tish Folk Fes­ti­val and Pur­beck Val­ley Folk Fes­ti­val. This year he was also award­ed the title of Cul­tu­ral Ambassa­dor of Gibraltar.
